I'm excited to announce that I will be joining Fireplace part-time will finishing my senior year at Northeastern. Fireplace is a community management platform for college student organizations, and was founded by a good friend of mine, Allen Lin, and I have joined as hire #2 to take over the web app (at least for now).
Joining Fireplace means I won't be focusing on Boilerbase anymore for the time being, but it doesn't mean that I won't ever come back to it in the future. The reality is, Fireplace is a much more mature startup and presents a much more exciting opportunity for me right now.
We recently launched to Northeastern University and have accumulated ~500 users so far! Our plan for the immediate future is to continue spreading Fireplace around to more student organizations at Northeastern and slowly add more and more schools in the Boston area throughout this fall semester.
Looking ahead towards the rest of the fall semester for my senior year at Northeastern, I'm excited to be working on Fireplace, getting back to playing Lacrosse, and focusing on some interesting classes: Programming Languages, Theory of Computation, Programming in C++, and Business Model Design Innovation for Startups.
I know it will be a busy semester, but there are a lot of exciting things to look forward to, and I couldn't be more grateful for the people and opportunities that I have around me.
